The material and structure of the ribbon itself affect the lifespan of the thermal transfer ribbon

1.Colloid/Coating Material: The abrasion resistance, thermal stability, and chemical resistance of the ribbon coating directly determine its lifespan. Highly abrasion-resistant coatings generally have a longer lifespan, but are also more expensive.
2.Substrate Strength and Thickness:A thicker and stronger substrate provides better tear resistance and a longer lifespan.
3.Pigment/Dye Particle Size and Dispersion:Appropriate particle size and uniform distribution prevent clogging, accelerated wear, and uneven color.
4.Adhesive Quality: Insufficient adhesive strength can lead to blistering, delamination, or detachment at high temperatures, shortening the lifespan.
